Overview

Rockhurst Farm is a quiet and serene 400-acre farm in Shelby County, Alabama. After crossing the old wooden bridge on Highway 51, the pastures open up for horses on the left and on the right, the 2600 square foot pavilion, chapel, barn, and old oak tree where the wedding venue is located. From Spring to Fall, the lush green surroundings are perfect for outdoor or indoor weddings.

01 | The barn adjacent to the pavilion offers 3 restrooms (one ADA-approved), 2 dressing areas, and a well-equipped caterer’s prep area with easy access. The venue as a whole is totally ADA compliant.

02 | The venue offers three ceremony sites included in your package. The beautiful chapel seats 200+ guests with an adjacent pond containing a water fountain and a stone platform overlooking the water. There is a one hundred fifty-year-old great oak tree and a manicured lawn/field for a ceremony or reception. The field will accommodate any size tent. The large covered pavilion is available for receptions.

03 | The owner’s personal cabin is available for the groom and attendants at 11 am on the wedding day until the ceremony time. It is located in a beautiful setting with a large pond fully stocked for excellent fishing. Many trails surround the cabin area for a walk/run or just relax on the front porch.

— Rockhurst is home to a large honeybee apiary; Our honey is available for wedding favors: $3.50 per favor
— Bride and attendants use the barn near pavilion during the day for make up, dressing and relaxing until photo time
